Our Background

This is Serkan Dilver, a computer engineer and 26 years of management roles in finance and banking IT systems. And a real DIY guy, who loves to work with his hands.

It all started in 2002 with a 1958 BMW R26, a relic. I bought it to restore. And while I started to dismantle, I was frustrated with the condition. All fasteners was rusted heavily, almost impossible to loose, most of them changed with wrong spec ones. It was a nightmare. 

 

So I started to make a set out of stainless steel with exact dimensions of manufacturing date of the bike, for myself. I placed it in ebay. Suprisingly enough, it sold instantly! I realized there are lots of fellow enthusiast with the same problem. Another R26 set, a R50 set. Gone. Instantly. And the good reviews. Most pleasing part of the business.

There comes the retirement, a deliberatly early one, built a house in the forest. Now parts.u.need is a full time job. Well, full of the time, remaining from living a life with family and hobbies.

I prepare, select every piece by hand. One by one. Like I do for my first set to my R26. This is not a business, this is sharing with fellows who enjoys the same things I do. That's why I offer unconditional warranty.
